Alex brings over 20 years of drug discovery and development experience to Atea in the areas of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) across diverse therapeutic areas.
His experience includes rational design and optimization of new molecules, building structure-activity relationships, assessing developability risks, and providing guidance during clinical development on DMPK and clinical pharmacology related matters.
Prior to joining Atea, Alex served as a Senior Consultant, DMPK & Clinical Pharmacology at Aclairo Pharmaceutical Development Group. Before that, he was Senior Director of DMPK at Cascadian Therapeutics. Earlier in his career, Alex served as Senior Scientist of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics at Oncothyreon and Cytokinetics.
Alex holds BSc and PhD degrees in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia.
