Adel Moussa, PhD

Adel has extensive experience and expertise in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical development with over 28 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining Atea, Adel held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at Idenix Pharmaceuticals including Vice President, CMC. Before joining Idenix, Adel served at Johnson Matthey in many roles including Associate Director of Chemistry and Covalent Associates.

Before joining industry, Adel was assistant professor at the University of Alexandria, Egypt.

Adel holds a BS and MS in chemistry from the University of Alexandria, Egypt and a PhD in organic chemistry from Northeastern University.
