Recruitment Fraud Warning For Job Seekers

Atea Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has received reports that identity thieves are contacting job seekers with fraudulent offers of employment from individuals claiming to be Atea employees. These deceptive people are reaching out to potential candidates through online services, including fake recruitment emails, fake job postings, online recruitment/chat services, etc. They press the job seekers to provide bank account information and personal identification numbers.

At Atea, we do not ask for personal financial information during any step of the interview process, nor do we pay or charge job seekers a fee as part of the recruitment process. All official Atea emails sent to potential candidates will come from the domain @ateapharma.com.

If you have been defrauded or suspect identity theft as a result of an employment scam, please contact your local law enforcement agency for guidance.
